ADA WORKSHOP
SET IN OMAHA
An Americans with Disabilities
Act workshop, sponsored by the League's Omaha and Southwest Iowa
Centers for Independent Living, will take an in-depth look at
ADA guidelines that relate to accessibility and employment.
The workshop is Friday,
Sept. 17, at Grace University in Omaha. Registration starts at
8 a.m. and the final item on the schedule is at 4: 20 p.m. Lunch
will be provided.

GOLF EVENT
The league's second annual
golf event is Thursday, Sept. 30, at Highlands Golf Course. The
event includes an 18-hole, four-player scramble, silent auction,
buffet dinner, a helicopter golfball drop and more.
Register a four-player
team for $400 or become an event sponsor:
$1,000 includes a team,
hole sponsorship and name recognition.
$500 includes a hole
sponsorship and name recognition.
$250 includes name recognition

StarTran Instituting
Call Holding System
Lincoln's StarTran Handivan
service is instituting an on-hold system on it's reservation telephone
line. 441-7109.
Beginning July 22, 2010,
instead of just getting a busy signal, calls will be held until
the dispatcher has completed the current call.
Callers should stay on
the line as calls will be answered in the order they are received.
Callers who hang up and call back will go to the end of the holding
line.

Chapter meetings
The first Monday of each month at the League office, 1701 P St

York Membership Chapter
The third Wednesday of each month at 727 Lincoln Ave Ste 3, York,
NE at 7:00pm.
